Sort Excel sheet and extract all but most recent row for each ID

We have an Excel spreadsheet with around 10k rows - every row has an reference ID for a person along with a date and then various other data
We need to be able to extract the contents of the most recent row for each ID and then create a new sheet with the removed data. For example:
1 Bob 01/01/2016 Data
1 Bob 01/01/2015 Data
1 Bob 01/01/2017 Data
2 Tom 03/03/2015 Data
2 Tom 14/01/2010 Data
3 Fred12/09/2008 Data
4 Michelle 21/11/2004 Data
4 Michelle 16/02/2003 Data
4 Michelle 7/10/2002 Data
Desired output - sheet 1
1 Bob 01/01/2017 Data
2 Tom 03/03/2015 Data
3 Fred12/09/2008 Data
4 Michelle 21/11/2004 Data
Desired output - sheet 2 (sorted by ID then date DESC)
1 Bob 01/01/2016 Data
1 Bob 01/01/2015 Data
2 Tom 14/01/2010 Data
4 Michelle 16/02/2003 Data
4 Michelle 7/10/2002 Data
