Responsibilities: 

  • Develop deep, long-lasting relationships with university officials: professors, program advisors, teaching assistants, student leaders, career services, student organizations and candidates
  • Manage strategic vendor relationships and partner effectively with engineering team
  • Partner with University Recruiting peers, on business needs in order to build a competitive campus strategy and meet hiring goal
  • Identify, plan, manage, and execute on-campus and/or intern events for Airbnb that result in attracting and retaining top university talent in unique and creative ways
  • Understand the unique ecosystem of each school, and design school-specific strategies to build on-campus brand and the Airbnb value proposition to students
  • Create alignment and partnership with engineering team
  • Source interns and new graduates, identifying and activating top students and screen technical resumes, engage in targeted sourcing, and heavy volume of resume review
  • Manage full-cycle recruiting process for new graduates and interns across engineering teams
  • Drive offer process - including extending offers, closing candidates, and generating offer letters
  • Facilitate hiring discussions with interviewers and hiring managers
  • Monitor intern and new grad headcount across assigned teams
  • Act as a resource to interns throughout their internship

Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree
  • 3+ years of recruiting, program management, and events experience
  • Ability to think creatively around building a campus strategy, create a big picture vision as well as execute the details
  • Passionate about Airbnb and able to speak to our exciting industry and unique product
  • Experience with full-cycle recruiting for technical roles preferred, including closing candidates
  • Patient, communicative, and must possess the ability to work collaboratively with a team
  • Experience partnering with hiring managers, interviewers, and team members throughout hiring process
  • Passionate about event planning and promoting the Airbnb brand with students
  • Creative and enjoys working on challenges
  • Exceptional presentation, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Strong ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Understanding of how to build effective relationships with university officials and student groups
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, experience working on projects with multiple stakeholders
  • Willingness to work flexible hours

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience working in university recruiting or university programs
  • Willing and excited to travel 30-40% of the time during the academic year as Campus Specialist. Closer role will not travel this much
  • Flexible and can deal effectively with changes in priorities or ambiguity
  • Proficiency in MS Office/Google products
  • Passionate about candidate experience: we see our candidates as our guests, and we are their hosts.
  • Excited about and curious to learn more about software technologies
  • Willingness to pivot from Engineering to other lines of business focuses where needed
