Short Description

We are looking for an IT Business Analyst to support the creation and sustainment of a global operations team that supports applications and processes in a 24 x 7 x 365 environment. The ideal candidate will possess 7+ years of business analysis, 5+ years of technology operations/infrastructure experience, excellent writing, speaking, presentation, interpersonal skills, and 1+ years of Cloud experience.

* This is a remote position; however, you must reside in MD, DC, or VA to be eligible. *

Skills/Required Years of Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • 7+ years of requirements gathering and documentation
  • 7+ years of technical analyst experience
  • 5+ years of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • 5+ years of technical process engineering / process improvement
  • 2+ years of technology operations and/or infrastructure projects
  • 2+ years of participating in Agile Scrum ceremonies and writing stories
  • 2+ years of publishing and maintaining documents on Confluence
  • 2+ years of using JIRA to facilitate Agile Scrum (i.e., boards)
  • 1+ years of professional consulting experience

Desired Skills/Years of Experience:

  • 2+ years of MS Visio
  • 1+ years of AWS Cloud experience
  • 1+ years of ServiceNow

Complete Description

We are looking for a IT Business Analyst to support the creation and sustainment of a global operations team that supports applications and processes in a 24 x 7 x 365 environment. The Technical Business Analyst will have the following responsibilities:

  • Report to the Project Manager and receive direction on tasks
  • Work closely with application owners to learn, capture, verify, and manage requirements.
  • Elicit, gather, and document requirements, workflows, models, and system analysis.
  • Work with stakeholders, infrastructure teams, and application teams to develop support/maintenance requirements and specifications for applications and processes
  • Develop and maintain application and process inventory map
  • Gather and collate support tasks by reviewing existing technical documentation
  • Develop training manuals on support activities and tasks after working with Developers and Engineers
  • Develop and document processes using diagrams and charts
  • Create and maintain operations team standard operating procedures
  • Schedule and facilitate working sessions to assess/review technical documentation, processes, and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned.
