You will be mainly supporting the SRO whilst also providing business support to the Directorate helping ensure that the Agency meets its objectives.

You will work in an exciting environment where you will gain invaluable experience supporting the department on a range of projects.

You will have the opportunity to build relationships with key stakeholders across the Agency and with other departments thus becoming the first point of contact for the team.
There is the opportunity to develop and take on more responsibility, becoming more involved in the wider work of the Agency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing the diary of the SRO to ensure that they are sufficiently prepared for their daily schedule, prioritising meetings in order to manage their time efficiently

  • Booking travel and accommodation for SRO and accompanying parties

  • Organising meetings on behalf of the SRO liaising with key stakeholders and booking appropriate meeting rooms

  • Attending key meetings with the SRO and taking effective minutes – distributing as necessary in a timely manner. There may also be travel involved.

  • You will be responsible for ensuring the successful running of the regular team meetings, meeting outcomes, meeting room arrangements and arranging teleconference facilities for staff who cannot attend meetings in person

  • Organising events on behalf of the team – arranging suitable venues and refreshments and liaising with invitees.

  • Maintaining the office facilities, ensuring that the office is well stocked and ordering new stationery when required

  • Liaising with Head of CEO’s office to ensure that all Corporate requests are fulfilled in a timely and accurate manner also providing cover to other PA’s across the Agency

  • Providing cover to other directorates when their own PA is absent as well as cross directorate support for major events

  • Assisting the Business Manager with Finance/HR queries – liaising on behalf of the team

  • Maintaining the Correspondence for the team by liaising with the Parliamentary team

Skills, Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications:


  • Ability to communicate well both written and verbally to a range of stakeholders regardless of grade or position.

  • Ability to use own initiative being creative and utilising good problem-solving skills;

  • Proven good organisational skills and have an eye for detail.
