Would you like to play a pivotal role in our new development - The Submarines Combat Systems Development and Integration Facility? We currently have a vacancy for a Logistics Support Officer at our site in Frimley/Ash Vale.
As a Logistics Support Officer, you will be involved in a varied, interesting and challenging growing area of the business that supports new builds, in service support and upgrades.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to work in our custom-designed facility where submarine combat systems integration, test, support and training services for all classes of in-service and new build platforms take place.
Your main responsibilities as a Logistics Support Officer will involve:
Goods receipt and despatch activities
Ensuring correct paperwork is completed and maintained (Delivery and Despatch)
The use of IT such as SAP and asset management systems to undertake logistic activities.
Supporting the Government Stores Controller carrying out AAC, Audits & Acceptance, and Returns
Assisting in the day to day running of the stores department
Being responsible for the HSE elements of stores; carrying out risk assessments and associated activities
Keeping the stores area free of hazards as per the company’s HSE policy
Your skills and qualifications as a Logistics Support Officer:
SAP Experience (warehouse management)
Forklift licence beneficial
Experience of interfacing with the external customers

Complex Systems and Support:
Complex Systems and Support (CS&S) is part of BAE Systems Submarines. We predominantly supply to the UK MoD but with smaller derivative work done in support of international Customers. Our team is responsible for system design, build and/or procurement of the major electronic and mechanical systems on a submarine, as well as provision of test, integration and support services.
Innovation is central to our DNA and has produced the Common Combat System (CCS) to address the customer’s affordability, technology and capability challenges. It is based on commercial off-the-shelf technology (COTS) coupled with bespoke military hardware and software and is being progressively rolled-out into the UK's Submarine flotilla.
We effectively incorporate rapidly evolving, commercial technology, new capabilities and changes coming from the operational environment into long-term build, maintenance and in-service programmes.
As a 'system of systems' integrator we work closely with our Customer, partners and suppliers to develop and provide innovative, intelligent and value for money solutions across all classes of UK Submarine both in build and in service with the Royal Navy, ensuring our submariners always have world-class, safe, capable and available products.
