About the role
Team Purpose: Seamlessly provide product through the supply chain to delight Miss Very
Own the day-to-day Inbound Logistics process for a defined product category, from supplier handover to DC delivery. Build a strong cross-functional working relationship with Merchandising, Sourcing and Fulfillment colleagues and be the Inbound expert in that environment.
Contribute to execution of long term strategic plans within the Logistics function. Ensure strong inbound delivery
performance, leading to robust product availability in pursuit of our ambition to become a world class digital retailer.
Scope of Role:
Freight spend accountability: £15m (Sea / Road / Air)
Landed cost value: £150m
3PL partners: 3 (plus additional carrier relationships)
KPI targets (TBC) through clear reporting and use of root cause analysis, with action plans in place to address areas of underperformance
Support Inbound Logistics Manager in driving world class performance with nominated 3PL partners in line with agreed service levels, including regular face-to-face meetings
Connect our Global Supply Chain by building strong relationships with Merchandising, Sourcing and Fulfilment
Provide clear visibility of Inbound delivery status to all stakeholders through timely, robust and actionable reporting, and continually look for opportunities to improve processes in this area
Support Inbound team in development of rolling 12 month forecast / plan to ensure necessary capacity is secured, and ensure plan is executed
Support build of operational plans to ensure seamless delivery performance during seasonal peaks (e.g. Chinese New Year, Black Friday)
Stay up to date with changes and developments in the global logistics industry
Make inbound bookings with relevant DCs in line with available intake capacity, and be able to update Merchandising on any exceptions
Work with local carriers / hauliers where needed to secure necessary delivery slots

Essential Knowledge, Skills, Proven Ability or Role Specific Qualifications required:
Experience of online retail would be beneficial
- Team player
- Highly organized with ability to manage own workload
- Highly numerate, with the ability to interrogate data and draw conclusions
- IT literate with solid knowledge of appropriate systems
- Experience of dealing with and influencing external partners and suppliers
- Comfortable communicating at all levels of the business, both in writing and verbally
- Able to take the initiative and drive results when needed
