A Day in the Life

Inspect complex molds, fixtures, gauges, and piece parts to insure that they conform to all dimensional requirements and quality specifications.

Responsibilities:

  • Primarily responsible for inspection of tooling, gauges and molds produced in the tool room for potential use in production.
  • Capable of using the full complement of measuring devices.
  • Inspects parts produced on dies, molds, tooling or piece parts to determine conformance to specifications.
  • Inspect tooling received from outside vendors.
  • May assist with set-up inspection development work.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • 0 years of experience required
Nice to Have
  • Technical Associate Degree
  • Direct experience in the implantable medical device field
  • Experience in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing principals and practices.
  • Proficient at current PLM system and perform specification and mechanical/electrical part searches.
  • Experience using the ASME Y14.5m-1994 Dimensioning and Tolerancing standard.
  • Experience using Pro Engineer software sufficient to create parts, assemblies and drawings.
