Support Agent and Office Manager

EmpInfo is looking to hire a detail oriented, organized, and customer-centric person for a multifunction role, Support Agent & Office Manager in San Jose. We are looking for someone who is comfortable and eager to split their time between covering Customer Support responsibilities and administrative responsibilities. This role is incredibly important for the company because you will be working closely with members of every functional team and responsible for a significant touch point with our customers, as well as the office environment and EmpInfo’s employee experience.

EmpInfo is an online 24/7 marketplace providing access to employment records. EmpInfo was built to make the process of verification easy and safe for verifiers, employers, and the employees being verified. If you’ve ever rented or applied for a loan, someone has had to go through this process, and for too many folks, it was a manual process. With EmpInfo, it’s instant.

Responsibilities:
  • Answer calls to the EmpInfo line: basic troubleshooting for callers seeking support, escalating any cases that require extra assistance to resolve
  • Address support case tickets: in Zendesk, via email, or online chat, you will provide excellent customer-centric service, escalating and following these cases through until resolution
  • Own the office experience: you make sure we’re always putting our best foot forward when welcoming our clients to the office – ensuring the office is tidy, the plants are thriving, and that we’re fully stocked with the necessary goods (office supplies, snacks, and most importantly coffee!)
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree with prior work experience as a support/customer service agent
  • Outstanding communication and documentation skills
  • You are diligent, reliable, and always ready – you pride yourself on being able to anticipate and be one step ahead
  • Great at multitasking and prioritizing – you know how to maximize your time
  • Positive, curious, and a strong team player – no job is too big/small and you enjoy taking on and learning new things
  • Desire to problem solve for and empathize with customers requesting support – you get personal satisfaction from helping a customer out and understand that customer service has a big impact on a company’s reputation
