DB Cargo (UK) has an exciting opportunity to join the Communications Department. The successful candidate will correspond with employees and external stakeholders to keep them informed of company developments. The delivery of strategies to increase employee awareness and to promote a good company brand and positive image. Externally to communicate with the media and other interested parties to announce new products and services and highlight organisational developments in a way that maintains and advances the positive image of the company.

Internally to ensure that employees are aware of changes and projects within the company.
To distribute executive messages, prepare presentations and internal memos, and conduct meetings to share information.
Support digital and social media developments within the business and drive the shift towards online communications.
To develop print materials and branding strategies for employee use.
Where appropriate, direct marketing and public relations.
Support company events in preparation, organisation and delivery.
Co-ordinate the collation and submission of award entries on behalf of the company.
Externally, to represent the Company to stakeholders, interested parties and the public.
To act as a representative of the business to the media and the general public.
Develop and distribute materials that may explain or convey the company's policies or position on issues.
Strong understanding of the English language
Good written and presentation skills
The ability to forge strong relationships at all levels
Good organisation and planning skills
Good knowledge of digital and social media
At least five GCSE (or equivalent) including Maths and English
Degree in Marketing, Communications or other relevant degree would be an advantage
