CAD Operator - Womenswear

Fix-Term contract - Maternity Cover - From the 22nd of February 2019 to the 30th of September 2019.


Assisting in the running of Womenswear CAD department.

Responsible for assisting in the daily running and workload of Womenswear cad department, working closely with senior colleague and reporting back to CAD Manager.


Technical drawings for womenswear (outerwear, jersey, knitwear, wovens, denim and swim)

Strategic management of womenswear - create and maintain WRTW template guides for blocks and trim components

Liaise with WRTW Fashion Designers and WRTW Product Engineers and work from seasonal tech packs to digitally translate drawings for WRTW Merchandising team

Produce and deliver high quality drawings for the collection presentations for seasonal markets

Liaise with WRTW Graphic Designers and work from launch packs for artworks and garment placements

Liaise with WRTW Fabric Designers and WRTW Print Designers for swatch colours and woven print artworks

Liaise with WRTW Product Developers and review seasonal branding approvals

Create seasonal newborn gift set sticker labels for box set packaging sold in-store and online

Jointly manage and maintain the WRTW artwork archive and WRTW CAD documents with team on seasonal basis

Provide priority support to WRTW Merchandising team with occasional support to other WRTW departments

Set up seasonal critical paths with WRTW CAD and multiple WRTW departments

Hold weekly WRTW CAD team recap meetings

Attend weekly feedback and reporting meetings with CAD Manager and all CAD teams

Manage project timescales and work to strict deadlines

Develop and maintain strong working relationships with all CAD team members and internal departments

Assist team memberʼs role and responsibility in their absence, or as and when required during busy period

Continuously maintain awareness on technological trends with desired focus on 3D development


2 - 4 years + commercial experience within industry with a degree in fashion, graphics or equivalent

IT literate - Mac & PC

Excellent drawing skills with meticulous attention to details

Advanced knowledge of MAC OS Adobe CC (Illustrator, Photoshop and Indesign)

Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Power Point)

Well developed communication skills - written, IT, analytical, verbal and mathematical

Proactive and creative thinker - process driven

Strong sense of timekeeping and self-organisational skills

Keen interest in digital innovation
