This year Elegant Resorts have an exciting opportunity to train in their Product and Business Development teams. As an Apprentice Business Administrator, you will support departments whilst studying for a Business Administrator (Level 3) Apprenticeship Standard. The length of this scheme will be 12-18 months.

Elegant Resorts are looking for experienced problem solvers who thrive in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to deliver exceptional levels of customer service while supporting their internal teams and clients. No two days are the same at Elegant Resorts, and as their next Apprentice you will develop your skills, to enable you to support their teams with the following:

  • Contract administration
  • Supporting the product and marketing teams with costing trips and hotels for the website and wider marketing activities
  • Assist with planning internal incentive trips by creating itineraries and presenting costings
  • Help with writing product content for documentation, itineraries web content, etc.
  • Assist with planning and conducting supplier events, including attendance at events
  • Administration assistance, such as, running reports to look at hotel performance, geographic sales, etc. Help with putting these into easily readable graphs, charts and tables
  • Supplier contact assistance for sales staff to help close enquiries where needed, particularly in peaks
  • During peak periods, offer assistance to our sales staff in loading itineraries and other administration
  • Complete competitor analysis and report back to the Product team
  • Plan and assist in organising all events to promote the image of Elegant Resorts and its products
  • Create and interpret data and key tends to improve the Elegant Resorts loyalty programme offering
  • Monitor competitor campaigns within the market
  • Own the client welcome home, birthday and anniversary gift procedure and data management
  • Own the luxury travel documentation process
  • Update client profiles with marketing, campaigns, general data and updates
  • Manage the flow of information and process for the Loyalty Team as required
  • Maintain contacts and mailing lists
  • Respond to day to day queries raised by internal stakeholders
  • Attend events and supplier training both internally and externally

  • Computer literate with experience of using email and web-based programs
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to deal with both call and emails
  • Excellent communication skills and the confidence to deal with clients over the phone on a daily basis
  • Confident in an office environment, with excellent customer service skills

Desired qualifications
  • To be considered for this exciting opportunity, the successful candidate must have achieved a minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade C or above, including both maths and English (or equivalent)

Things to consider

The National Minimum Wage for Apprentices is £3.70 per hour as of 1st of April 2018. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year. Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year. The minimum wage rates are £5.90 an hour for 18-20 year olds; £7.38 for anyone aged 21 to 24 and £7.83 for those over 25.
