Would you like to be part of an innovative and forward thinking Local Authority organisation, which is passionate about serving the community? Are you interested in a Business Administration career, where you can make a real difference to children, young people and families? Or are you looking to come back into the workplace after a break away? If the answer is yes, we have roles available!

Our Children Services Administration Officer Roles are based in a small, supportive team. These fast paced jobs are crucial to enable the Children Social Care teams to work effectively and deliver outstanding services to our customers. Our teams work co-operatively to provide efficient and effective secretarial and administrative support to staff based in Specialist Directorate Teams or those who may not work from one office. We proactively liaise with colleagues to provide constant and consistent services, streamline practices, provide cross-service cover and help prevent excessive workload peaks. Both roles will therefore suit someone able to work at a fast pace, often to tight deadlines, whist staying calm and efficient under pressure.

In the Administration Officer (Support) role, you will be supporting Social Workers who work with families and young people within our community.

To be successful in this role, you will be someone with excellent communication skills, who thrives on working in a team environment. Whilst prior experience of working in a Social Care environment is not essential, you should be able to demonstrate experience of providing administrative support in a busy, customer-focused team. Good ICT skills are essential and you must be comfortable with using Microsoft Office applications. Experience in using database systems would also be highly valued.

We have a dedicated training and induction plan where we will develop your knowledge, skills and expertise in all administrative areas.
