As part of the revenue cycle team, the Logistic Technician is responsible for gathering all demographic and insurance information at the time a patient presents for service. The Logistic Technician is responsible for verifying all information for accuracy, thus ensuring prompt billing of all insurance claims. The Logistics Technician is also responsible for counseling all customers on their financial responsibility to Holy Cross Hospital.


Physical Demand/Working Conditions:


Light physical exertion – some standing or walking and lifting 20 pounds maximum with occasional lifting and /or carrying of objects up to 10 pounds. Work requiring occasional, limited exposure to moderately disagreeable conditions.


Minimum Qualifications:


Must meet the requirements for employment with the Hospital as outlined under General Job Requirements.


Job Specific Qualifications



Education/Training:


High School graduate.


Compliant with PPD requirements.



Experience:


Preferably two (2) years of typing; some computer experience desired.


Minimum 2 years in a healthcare related field.
